and the prelude is over

now is that part of that first chapter that is devoted to setup. we have made it to breckenridge and have gotten settled in. the original room wasn't as nice as we expected and we were able to upgrade to a much nicer room which more resembles a 1 bedroom apartment than a hotel room. this place is HUGE. i have found 4 hot tubs, 2 swimming pools, an arcade, a mini-golf course, 2 rather posh resturants, 2 bar/lounges, and a plethra of shops. and i'm not even done exploreing the resort yet.

as for the events of the day, it was mostly spent riding in a car slam full of luggage. we did stop by some hot springs, and if anyone ever gets the chance to hop in, i highly reccomend it. they are quite comfortable, and there is something interesting about being in a pool with no man-made source of heat, boiling your ass off, and staring at snow no less than 5 feet away. i'm hired.

my goal for the night is to determine what, if any, nightlife exists in this place. i may go swimming, just cause. i'm nuts. but it's something i can do. it won't be till the day after tomorrow that i start to snowboard, so i'm sure everyone can thing of other interesting suggestions to give me to get myself injured.

everyone that walks by looks either hyper or exausted. nothing inbetween. and you can't gauge it on age. i know i'm the only one in my group with any energy left today, even though the thinner air is having a noticable effect on both my ability to breathe and the effectiveness of my ciggerattes.

so i guess it's off to find random interesting things. but first... i must burgle.
